Beautiful and Budget-Friendly

You love the look of natural stone but not the price? Stamped concrete might be the answer. We pour regular concrete and then press patterns into it before it dries. The result looks like stone, brick, or wood, but costs much less.

From a distance, most people can't tell the difference between stamped concrete and the real thing. Up close, you can see it's concrete, but it still looks great. Many homeowners choose stamped concrete when they want a large patio without breaking the budget.

How It Works

First, we pour a concrete slab for your patio. While the concrete is still soft, we add color to the surface. Then we press rubber stamps into the concrete. These stamps have the texture and pattern of stone, brick, or whatever look you chose.

After the concrete dries, we apply a sealer that protects the surface and brings out the color. The sealer also makes it easier to clean and helps prevent stains.

Pattern Options

  • Flagstone: Looks like irregular flat stones fitted together
  • Cobblestone: Round or square stones like old European streets
  • Brick: Classic brick patterns in many colors
  • Slate: Smooth stone texture with natural veining
  • Wood Plank: Looks like wood decking, but won't rot or splinter
  • Tile: Square or hexagon shapes like indoor tile

Colors That Pop

Concrete doesn't have to be gray. We can color it almost any shade you want. Earth tones like tan, brown, and gray are popular because they look natural. But you can also go bold with reds, blues, or greens.

Many stamped concrete projects use two colors. The main color fills most of the surface. A darker color in the grooves and cracks adds depth and makes the pattern stand out.

Good for Large Areas

Stamped concrete really shines when you have a lot of ground to cover. A large patio made of real stone can cost a fortune. With stamped concrete, you can have that same dramatic look for much less money.

Pool decks, driveways, and walkways are all great uses for stamped concrete. Anywhere you'd put regular concrete can be upgraded to stamped.

What to Know

Stamped concrete does need some care. The sealer needs to be reapplied every few years to keep the surface looking good. And unlike pavers, if part of the concrete cracks, you can't just replace that piece.

For most families, the savings are worth these tradeoffs. Stamped concrete gives you a beautiful outdoor space without emptying your wallet.

"We wanted a flagstone patio but couldn't afford it. The stamped concrete looks amazing and cost half as much. Even our neighbors thought it was real stone until we told them."

"Our pool deck is stamped to look like sandstone. It's been five years and it still looks great. The texture keeps it from being slippery even when wet."
